Pete Rose admitted it. Quote, "Yes I did and my mistake was not admitting it a lot earlier." That is about the 2:00 minute mark on this video. He sure was a great baseball player though. Reds vs. Dodgers were some really great baseball games in the 1970's.

I guess he can rest with his true love now. He didn't make it look all that fun to be 100, to be perfectly honest.
The last bits of one's life are almost never the best. And it's quite common for people to rapidly decline when their better half leaves them 'early', even if he had been in excellent health.

I think he carried his age as well as can be expected. As am European not that much into the whole 'old politics' thing, I can't say I could actually name something he is known for to you guys, but I always liked how they described him as a working man who went into politics to make the world better for his peers and who I think worked hard on 'social injustice' and human rights.

As an European, I can't say I expect the same from your current pick.
