LG HG2 ?

got this battery for testing

heres a link for how to spot a fake HG2

the can has absolutely no identifiers on it

insulator ring is textured on one side, you can see a bit of "shine" in between 12 and 1 o-clock but?

weld marks are different than in the article

maybe its part of the 2016 batch mentioned in how to spot a fake

interupted my 30q test, dont mind the graph title

charged to 4.2v

battery held at 4.191v after 2 minutes :thumb: start 10amp discharge

stopped discharge at 3.2v, battery temp reached 128f/53.3 celsius

curve looks good, mah is about right, actually it should be around 1900/2000mah at 3.2v from the data sheet

ill get another hg2 tomorrow to compare

ill do a 5amp discharge to 2.5v and compare to this chart

heres the 5amp discharge 2585mah, peak temp 110f

if you compare to this sites handy comparison charts, you can change discharge rates see curves and compare 2 batteries on same chart, i dont know what this battery is

i "borrowed" a HG2 from a friends vape
did a 5amp discharge and the curve and capacity looks right
peeled the wrapper off and theres no markings on the can

5amp was 2738mah

go to lygte and this is the 5amp curve, 2750mah?

going to run a few cycles at the same settings as the 30Q and vtc6

the wrapper has this warning on it

FWIW, those two DOD tests at and below 2.5V with the infamous 3.44V cell may have resulted in less self-discharge, but still too early to tell. Will post the first 5 days elapsed time (2/15 to 2/20) Saturday afternoon, then after 10 days followed by 15 days (2/15 to 3/2/21).
