Hi guys

Been doing loads of reading on this forum. I have an ebike with a knackered battery. It's a 48v battery with bms.
Is there a buying guide on here for?

For example a battery build thread where all the links are included for purchasing the correct equipment?

I've had some quotes for a replacement battery from £300-£600 for a 48v 18650 battery and bms.
For the moment I was going to pay someone to build me one.
But looking online, battery welders are pretty cheap and loads of video tutorials.
I was wondering also could I use my existing bms, if I took it off of my old battery?

Thanks

Matt

No one thread for all of the info; you'd have to read around for what others are using that are capable of handling what your bike needs, in order to perform the way you expect it to for your rides.

Since you don't say, we can't help with that part. ;)

Without knowing what is wrong with your old battery, and what chemistry it is, and what kind the new battery would be (and if they are both the same number of series cells, discharge rate, etc), there's no way for us to know if your old BMS might work on your new battery (or even that the BMS works).

If that info is already available, perhaps you could link it in this thread (or re-state it).
