I have bought a new bike with 700c wheels. My old Ezee setup is a 26 incher. It seems better to buy a new 700c Mac motor complete rather than cutting out the Ezee hub and having lacing it into a new rim. My question is how compatible is the MAC connectors to the EZEE? CA V3 is my controller. :?

connectors are usually different on differnet motors depending on where you buy them from. Sometimes they dont' even have any, so you just install your own. Often enough motors don't come laced in a wheel (or are badly built wheels that have to be at least tensioned and trued, and too-often replaced entirely after they break), so you may have to build a wheel anyway, even with a new motor.

CA v3 is not a controller; it's just a "computer" that controls your controller.

It's probably a lot simpler to have your old motor relaced to a new wheel, if you're already moving everything over to a new bike, than to go thru all the things you'll need to do to setup the bike with a new motor. That's just a rim and set of spokes, which any *good* bike shop should be able to do for you easily, and if they won't, it's actually easy to do yourself if you are willing to try. There are a number of threads around ES on lacing / building wheels, as well as good sources for spokes and rims.

Grin has standardized on 3 Andersons and a JST connector from the Wheel.

EM3EV version of Mac uses 3 bullet connectors and a Molex.

You could probably get adapters (Unless you have enough extra cable to cut and solder or crimp). But if your existing motor is working fine and the controller is fine you would be spending a lot of extra money for not much benefit. I don't know how much difference the 26 to 700C" wheel would make in terms of rim and spoke selection.

The EM3EV Mac motors now have a temp sensor that will read out on the Cycle Analyst V3... which is pretty cool. It's a white wire on the EM3EV motors.

Hopefully your drop out spacing is the same.
