Advice needed. Bike stored indoors for winter. Went out for first ride then battery died. Battery showing 1bar on KD21 display. Pressed battery level indicator. ,showed full charge. Removed battery and observed slight corrosion between the 4 terminals. Checked battery voltage 42+ . Cleaned terminals and replaced battery. Still 1bar and full volts.
Laid bike on side and opened throttle and bike runs at full speed no load.
Read up on such like problems and suggests battery BMS issue/ protect circuit triggered. (Due to leakage across terminals)
One theory was to reset BMS by running the battery down to reset.
Taped full throttle and let run 30miles. Run out of time and patience and recharged battery - only took 1hr to charge.
Same result no power to drive load, no prob no load.
Now here where I have the problem - can’t find the BMS or computer/ controller.
Opened both ends of battery (JZZ LXD BW , 36v 10A 360wh 15A ) - everything covered with black sealant.
Now this is where I get confused ,outside of the battery no sign of computer/controller so am I right in saying everything is contained within the battery?
Is it safe to cut away to reveal the inners or should I conclude it’s a lost cause and replace battery,
My research seems to suggest the Escute is a similar model to the Macwheel and the battery identical??
Can anyone comfirm. If so are Escute issues similar.?
Macwheel is an Amazon brand as I understand and is no longer produced or supported.
Any advice or recommendations will be very much appreciated to get the bike back on the road or !!!!!!???????

What is the actual problem? LED battery charge indicators on the display (and especially battery) are known to be notoriously inaccurate. What happens when you actually ride the bike? Your thread title "Mac wheel MYT e-bike loss of power" could mean a lot of things.

Perhaps the display setting were somehow lost and need to be reset. Sometimes when a display supports multiple voltages, 36V/48V/52V for instance, it "guesses" the nominal voltage of the attached pack, and sometimes guesses wrong. Other times it is part of the display setup (e.g. manually setting the nominal voltage.
Usually if it guesses wrong, then the bike might not operate (the actual voltage may be too high or low for a pack that the display thinks it's connected to).
Since yours runs, I did some poking around for the manual. Does your manual state this?

Note: if your controller thinks you have a 48v battery, and you have a fully charged 36v battery, then it will run no load, but the voltage sag from applying load will drop the voltage below the 48v low voltage cutoff (~41V-42V) and power will cut out.

Corrosion on the terminals could definitely mess with the battery’s BMS and cause those weird power issues. Since you can’t find the BMS or controller easily, maybe check if there’s a separate controller box somewhere on the bike frame or near the motor. Sometimes it’s hidden under a cover or near the battery mount.

I moved your new post for the same thing to your original thread people were already helping you in.
Please don't start new threads for the same thing, especially when you are already being helped.

I think I hit return before I completed first input.
Then tried to edit. A bit new to this so will try not to confuse. Thank you for your help. Jacko
