Hey,
I hooked my my magic pie edge to my 48v battery with the 48v thumb throttle switch all the lights come on and the wheel spins when i press the throttle....but the power button on the throttle switch does not turn off the lights, I have to unplug the connector from the battery and motor.
i checked all the connectors they are connected correctly. is it safe to use like that?

Thanks,
Chad

When you refer to "lights", do you mean the LED's on the throttle itself?

As far as I know, there is no power button to cut power from the battery to the controller. If you want that, you will need to install one yourself or use one that some batteries have integrated in the case. That red push button switch on the throttle is for turning a separate 48V headlight on and off if you have installed one.

So you are perfectly safe. Again best of my knowledge and how my MP Edge twist throttle works.

Thanks for the answer :) I emailed gary from magic pie and thats what he said too.
