Merida 500 Powercycle Help

I just bought this bike from someone. It is missing the Battery Case. Does anyone happen to have an extra case for sale? If not , I am thinking of just making my own Battery case with (2) 12V 12AH batterys. Is anyone familier with this bike, as far as wiring of the contacts that go to the battery and key switch. Also what size fuse would be good to use in the battery circuit?

Or any more suggestions or comments about this Bike.

They are the main North America distributer, and should have the battery. What little I do know of them, is there is a NiMH battery for it, that should give it better range. SLA batteries typicaly only give 50-60% of there rated capacity.

I remember seeing some hacks for the Meridia around somewhere. I'm not that familiar with it. It might have been over on http://visforvoltage.org/

You might try the search function and see what you find.

If you don't find what you want, post some pictures of the wiring, and we can probably figure it out.

If it's 500w and 24v, the fuse should be 30-40 amps. If you want to go far on it, you might save up your $$ and go for a lithium battery at some point.
