Ive been using my EB324 24fet controller I got from Lyen for a while now and its amazing coupled with my 5403. Recently it has died due to fet failure, so I thought why not just mod the whole thing to a bit more (because electric power is addicting)
This thread will serve as my build thread with tons of pictures to help other modders in the future.
I want to be able to run a 32s Lifepo4 battery (Full charge: 113.6v Nominal: 102.4v) at 150amp bat and 250amp phase.
Currently I have it running at 150amp bat and 250amp phase at 72v.
Im looking at doing the following mods:
- 4110 to 4115 replacement for higher voltage - http://www.digikey.com/product-detail/en/IRFB4115PBF/IRFB4115PBF-ND/2096589
- Top board cap replacement for higher voltage - Can someone recommend me a cap replacement for the voltage I want to run? Currently there are 8 Rubycon 100v 1000uf caps on the board. Will I have to change the smaller caps on the board to something else to?
- 4 Snubber cap additions to the bottom on +/- power rails: Kemet PHE426HD7100JR06L2 - http://www.digikey.com/product-detail/en/PHE426HD7100JR06L2/399-5961-ND/2704615 Ive seen zombiess run these exact caps before, and im pretty sure they will work in this application too, if you have a better cap choice please tell me
- 8 guage wire for battery and phase wires - Hobbyking silicon wire
- Waterproof connections and sealing - Basically a smaller version of the waterproof connections you see on trailer connections
- Temp probe attached to one of the heatsinks - http://www.ebay.com/itm/171247030109
I know there might be some other things to change out on the board to get above 100v on this controller besides the fets and caps, but I couldn't find any info for that, if someone could show me what and where that would be awesome
Pictures of the current controller:

Bottom, excuse the not cleaned solder at the bottom from when I replaced the fets before
What im looking to do for the snubber additions (This is a pic of zombiess controller)
