Hi All,

I've ordered this FS bike in 44cm:

I want to add a BBSHD (or similar) motor to it. Do you think this would work, given this bike's geometry and components?
Would it make sense to switch to the 46cm version instead?
I'd consider other mid-drive motors too, BBSHD just seems to be what everyone's using these days.

Sorry if this is an dumb question - this would be my first conversion.

Appreciate your help!

The downtube seem to run forward a bit before turning up towards the headtube , You may have to hang the motor a bit more downward than usual compromising ground clearance. Hard to say with out the bike physically being here.

Ditto, it looks like a terrible candidate for a conversion. The motor will wind up hanging almost straight down and it does not look like there is any place to mount the battery. Having the downtube curve into the front of the bottom bracket is a bit of a frame builders fad these days and combined with a shock mount directly above the BB excludes those bikes from consideration, at least for off-road use......

That would work a lot better, it looks like once you remove any interfering lugs on the motor, you should be able to rotate the motor up to a near horizontal position. Ride with a backpack battery and you are set!

I have that bike a older versions in a 29 looks the same basicly works great. I where a nap sack for the battery though

I don't know what "EXTERNAL Bearing Assembly" means. The BBSXX need a standard diameter bottom bracket 68-73mm , 100mm or 120mm. It if is non standard, you will have to build or buy an adapter.
