Trying to do research on shocks for single pivot bikes like the phasor and torque raptor.

I believe that stealth bikes uses a motocross shock and they also state they custom valve the rear shock.

I was wondering if a motocross shock is better than a downhill shock for a ebike like the phasor or torque raptor.

How do you custom valve a shock? What is modified in a custom valved shock?

Stealth etc use a pitbike shock not a motocross shock..
a motocross shock is monster in size compared to a pitbike or DH shock
a motocross shock would never fit on a raptor/phasor, stealth etc..
im pretty sure stealth is still using DNM?: http://dnmshock.com

Your right, I just used motocross shock because I thought motocross encompassed a broad range of motored bikes.

well that would be a huge generalization.. if you want specifics then lets be specific??
of course the best shock to use will depend on ones application..
if on road then get a smaller lighter shorter travel model
if offroad choose a larger longer heavier duty model..
the shock is usually or should be tuned specifically for the application & rider etc
especially w/ the extra unsprung weight of heavy high power DD hub motor in the wheel..
