Hi all

I have a Kelly KHB on the shelf. I had some time today, so I swapped out the Kls96601-8080i for the KHB.

However, I couldn't get it to run correctly.

I tried every combination of phase wires but this was the best I could get:

The motor was very grimbly and loud. (I am applying a load with the rear brake in the video).

One other combination allowed the motor to turn, but it was even louder. All the other combinations either made the motor jerk or not move at all.

When I tried to ride, it was very coggy at low speeds and incredibly rough and jerky at mid throttle.

Runs fine (and quiet) on the old KLS controller.

Tried switching between 60/120deg Hall sensor but it just behaved the same at a lower speed.

Any ideas?

An update. I did not swap any of the hall wires when I did the phase wire testing. Fany has indicated I should do this as well.

When my mental health allows, I will try this.

remember not to swap around the red and black hall sensor wires (+and-)- only the blue yellow and green. otherwise youll be replacing the halls in your motor. there is an algorithm here on ES somewhere to find the best combination in the least moves- easy to google as well.
