well i got my new a123 cell battery from osn power the service from april was 1st class all the way and help tracking it all the way to my door
when i got it you can see customs have had the box open but thay never taped it back up very good thats uk customs for ya
still i had to have a look inside it to see how well built it is and here are the photos i took judge for yourselves
i think i will upgrade the wires as the silicone on the main wires is a bit soft for my liking but thats me and as for the 50amp bms i will mod it so its not built into the pack
as for the cells thay look ok to me one cell looks like it has a small pin hole in it  but i will keep an eye on that one
i am no battery builder but if you think there are some things that look abit :?: let me know

osn is pricey but a really good vendor- better than the others that will sell you used trash.
all the a123 20ah osn cells i got are A+ 19.7AH totally meeting the a123 specs- i get a good 18.7ah out of them down to my 2.7v lvc.....
update i think OSN is a re-seller just like vict- except they care and test the cells before they sell - but lately they've been playing games and raising s/h quotes overnight on me for no reason

great job with the pictures and taking the battery apart.. really gives a good view of how it's built.

I am sure I missed it somewhere , but how much does osn charge for the 20ah cells ? I am getting close
to ordering some more.

Rog130 why didn't you just buy a higher discharge bms. Some higher rate bms's have more discharge fets and disign for more discharge.

are you sure that dent is a pinhole? if it is perforated, you should have already sealed it with some nail polish. it may and most likely was damaged in assembly or shipping since a pouch with a dent like that would not leave the factory.

I found that the pouches can easy be deform if layed on a small peice of debre and you should be very careful whats on your work bench. Is that a hole or a dent ? Did you take a cell out of the pack for inspection ? Are these cells short tabs ? I saw one with a made in korea stamp.

It looks fairly well made. Not up to agniusm standard but certainly acceptable.

i no it was me me that did it as i was very very careful i had a look with a magnifying glass and its a small dent not a pin hole it must have got missed when its was in assembly as cells are covered in 10mm thick impact foam padding and then covered with a yellow fiberglass type polymer sheets then when packed in carbord box with thick styrofoam padding
i am not to bothered but i will use some nail polish to seal it just to be safe thanks for that tip dnmun

I saw that ROG130 pack had korean cells. Will this pack fit in the battery box on your bike ROG 130 ?
well just about my frame is 114mm wide and battery is 117mm wide but i will make the frame a bit wider by re tig welding some frame box extensions to the sides of the frame no biggy as i could do with a bit more space inside for the bike alarm and wires ect ect

sorry cant help you there on price for each cell i just got april to do me a deal on the full kit

@999zip
i made sure to buy "made in usa" cells only- there is something wrong with the korean cells---
http://endless-sphere.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=39128&p=625119&hilit=+korea#p625119

Davec I have USA cells. JohnCR had wrote he like the Korea cell it did not have the defunk machine with the tab problem. I read your link and it said the Koean cells weight less ? As the world turns hard to get to the bottom of these cells. I would sure like the walk their foot steps backwards. I mean there are some real shitty looking resold cells out there from some other vendors.

I wrote somewhere about Korean cells weighting less. I bought 24 cells from victpower, a year ago. 18 of them were dead and all were Korean, 6 USA were OK. I decided to weigh these cells and all of them were 100g more or less lighter. Then i done surgery on one of them and they were dry inside, electrolyte evaporated mysteriously or someone forgot to put it there in the first place.
ONS sells these cells at 35-38 a piece i believe.

well i paid for usa cells and got korean not very happy about that will have to have a chat with april about that as its got in the price list you are paying for usa made cells ? :x and i paid near $750.00 for my pack
so 1st bad mark for osn me thinks just hope thay are good cells

Yikes. I was considering buying batteries from these folks based on your review, but being deceived is intolerable. I hope you stick it to them.
