PAS issue

Hello
New builder here.
Today I installed a PAS on my cali bike 1500w motor kt48 controller and kt lcd5 display.
Issue:
I'm only getting bursts of power at the same area of the disk and the clearance is stable. If the assist level is low it can hardly be felt but I would like to get it running smoothly in the higher assists.
Any ideas/ suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

When you put a voltmeter on the signal output from the PAS sensor, do you get a steady stream of pulses from it when rotating the pedals? Or is it only in some portions of the rotation?

It should be the former, but if it is the latter then the sensor may be too close to (or to far away from) the magnet disc, and it happens that one or some of the magnets are *just* slightly closer or farther away than others, too small a gap to see.

It could also be that some of the magnets in the disc are flipped; you can test this with a different magnet and see if it is repelled by all of them from one side and attracted by the other, in whichever direction they are magnetized.



Does it work normally on throttle?
