moderator edit: I apologize, but the name in the title was mis-spelled, and Prodeco and Pedego are already confused with each other too much already.

"batteries from every e-bike it produced between January 2010 and September 2013."

and
"...which involves approximately 5,000 batteries" and "Pedego assumes consumers have already replaced between 1,500 and 2,000 of the affected batteries through attrition."

So, I might estimate 5000+1500/3yrs.9mo.= about 1,800yr?

Finally
"In September 2013, Pedego decided to begin sourcing all e-bike batteries from Samsung." (Seems another win for Samsung. :) )

In the "World of NA Ebike Sales" I might expect most recent years to be higher for annual sales than "baseline" year 2010. So I'll crystal ball... currently 2K ebikes sold per year.

They open up the battery pack and check for samsang cells. If you have samsang cells you are ok. They replace packs with out samsang cells.

Oh Boy! (Get to go dumpster diving.)
