In these 3 videos I am converting a perfectly good 60V 30AH PING BATTERY into a 48V 30AH battery since the owner of the battery would like to use a 48V system on his bike. Anyway I always welcome comments. Thanks for looking. Shoot me an E-mail if you need any assistance with your E-bike conversions or builds chrisviers@hotmail.com

wish i had a wizard near by to do custom work on my ride too,you seem to know what your doing-kudos

Good on ya mate, just to be willing to do it at all. Way too much of , "we don't do that here" from any kind of service person these days. Too many lawyers in the USA.

Nice video - what kind of camera do you have ? I need to invest in something like that for my kayaking trips
and maybe even some riding.

I did watch all 3 was neat to see the cells he uses also. thanks for sharing good work.

Hi all, need some advice if possible.
Im currently using a Ping 48v 10aH on a standard Chinese 48v ebay kit. The motor is advertised at 1000w and the controller and throttle 48v.
Would there theoretically be any problems if i upgraded to a Ping 60v running the same bike kit? I understand that the controllers are sometimes capable of a higher voltage, is this true? also if something did blow, would it prob be the controller as i can afford a replacement but dont want to damage the battery?
Many thanks in advance for any help on this.

who is ping anyway-anybody seen him like my old friend....

....any body here seen my old friend john,abraham....martin.............

we the good boys ...we going to die young...

lock-en -load....

I didn't do exactly what they told me to do....pretty much but I combined the four blocks of cells into two by using bus wire from solar panels. Yes Ping has agreed to send me the shrinkwrap....I love thier products and thier support is phenomenal .

Sorry if I don't keep up today is my Bday .....kids......drinking....busy....I'll answer questions tomorrow

Hi Guys Birthday was good....Just hanging with the kiddos. The camera is a Conotur GPS HD helmet camera, I love that thing....Was definately a worthy investment. It tells you your speed and gps locator on a map with a graph of your speed and altitude. 8) TOYS!! Anyway I felt sort of priveliged like I was getting some instructions from who I consider the best batteries I've seen and used.... So I thought I'd share ....I thought I would find 18650 cells,I was surprised by the prismatic cells...Little harder to dissasemble without damage, But I have my trusty iron and my dremel tool.
And for the guy who asked about the 48v to 60v controller question. read about it on the forums here.. I believe it works more often than not, electronic devices are ALWAYS underrated .....for safety and warrantees and such. All I can say is sometimes when making something faster ...you void warrantees... Or the factory smoke comes out!!! Once that happens you'll need a new one.

well..... I only had to fry 1 bms to get it right ......damn touchy.... but i got it fixed and wrapped with a new wrapping ping sent......so kacy should be up and rolling again soon.

That was before I charged it ....It sat for awhile .....It charged to 58.9 when all the lights lit up, I used a 4a aluminum body charger for lifepo4
