One hour ago, all our ebay listings have been bid to a very high price by zero feedback ebayers registered just today.

I, for one, am simply waiting for my motor/controller situation to resolve. Then I will order direct from Li Ping!

I know ebay can be good marketing for a new company, but Ping you should setup your own website with ecommerce and sell direct at this point. You probably have good enough word of mouth and a good enough reputation to do this. Just a thought. I hate ebay myself. Won't use it.

I think this is a great idea as well. Skip the eBay fees altogether and have a web-site that facilitates direct sales and instills and increases buyer confidence, which will all do more to boost Ping's sales. Undoubtedly, this would work to Ping's advantage. Of course, eBay sales can be retained for marketing purposes as is its main purpose according to Ping.

Anyways, I'm an eBay seller myself. There are buyer restrictions you can use to prevent this at http://offer.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?BuyerBlockPreferences .

If that link doesn't work(You have to be logged in to access it), you can click on "Sitemap"->"Block Bidder/Buyer List" and then there should be a link to "Buyer blocks" on the page. You can block "zero bidders", bidders below a certain number of feedback, bidders with 2 or more Non-Paying-Bidder complaints, etc.

*Wonders to self... "Why did Ping use a heart icon for this thread?"*

Yeah ebay selling is not a great deal for the sellers, the fees for sales and paypal are a lot

I've dreaded the Paypal/Ebay mafia ever since eBay acquired Paypal. They've taken all methods possible to scare buyers and sellers into using PayPal but just recently(in the last 3 weeks), they're requiring PayPal for all transactions(Specifically: "Checks and Money Orders aren't allowed"). I think of this as a moral breech of individual freedoms based on simply sheer greediness, but I realize that it's a "Free market" where market participants can do anything they want and buyers can simply go to other sellers if they're unsatisfied with a given seller. The only problem is that eBay has so much "market power" in the online auction arena, due to their extensive marketing and branding in the American market place, that there are no equivalent substitutes. I can only hope that'll eventually an alternative will rise in popularity within the next 5 years or so.

Yeah, I know, they also allow credit cards to be processed through Merchant Accounts, but this basically pushes the smaller sellers off eBay as smaller sellers don't have the sales volume to justify a Merchant Account and they can't remain economically competitive with all the advantages PayPal and eBay offers larger sellers. The only exception I can think of are specialized/niche markets. As far as the Emptying-out-the-garage seller, they don't really have to worry about competitiveness, they just want to get rid of their stuff for some moolah, so they aren't effected that much besides receiving a little less.

Now ebay took away ability for sellers to respond to negative feedback with a comment too.

I didn't know that.

Oops, looks like we pissed off some shady battery sellers with our trust in Li Ping. I wonder wu it could be?

Cute dogman! Ping should make his own site!

I'm a web developer by trade as I'm sure others are here. I have no doubt that Ping could trade a freely developed, secure ecommerce website in exchange for a couple of Ping packs!

I know he would have instant success with his own site because every new member here that asks where to get a good battery will immediately get a link to pings store.

Ping should almost just have himself a buy it now option for his packs that are affordable enough to drown out the competition. (hint, hint)

Like any attack based on hate or satanic lower human nature respond immediately and with renewed focus - never on revenge just use it as an opportunity to improve and expand your chosen field of service; improve your product, improve your customer service, improve your marketing avenues. Turn the scenario to your advantage.

People need to get used to attacks and now how to deal with them in an positive way. What happens on a smaller level happens on a larger level. the good guys need to be strong and clear because there are forces that take advantage of humanity deeply, and would be happy to see the planet and humanity go down the tubes. This is why in spite of the fact that we already have the technology and resources to change the entire energy paradigm for the benefit of all, the focus continues to be on war over non-renewable resources, and there is poverty and inequality and stubborn resistance to change, and there is no real leadership. None of the political leaders have a clue about anything but act like they know everything.

And as for paypal. anyone who can simply take money out of a sellers account with no warning based on an irrational reason that a customer's bank account is suspect , and this from a sale a month ago, with no means of redress given to the seller who has no idea about any of this just doing business - not good.

It looks like the fake bidders left an actual bidder in a bit of a spot. It appears that they ran his bid up to his maximum. The 48V 20AH pack is at $1150.00. That's the highest price I've seen for one of those.

Oh well, it works to ping's favor which all of us content Ping customers are happy about. :D (I'm pretty sure he's also becoming fairly wealthy compared to Chinese standards. The average annual salary there is ... what, $5000-6000? Shanghai's average wage might be higher considering it's an economic powerhouse/port for China.)

That's also the highest I've seen it. I was calculating 83-87 cents/WH back in May(And there was a clear trend that the dollar per WH decreased with increasing WH) and this particular auction is $1.19/WH which is starting to reach into PSI territory at $1.33/Wh without BMS and $1.38 if Ping's BMS was added on(onto a 48V 20AH pack), although the BMS would limit the current below the PSI cell's potential so that may not be comparable.

I don't think you can block zero or low feedback buyers. If its possible and you know how to do it please post instructions.

Yes, its continually getting worse. Paypal has always been pretty bad but the combination

It surprises me that so many people are so enthusiastic about buying/owning a Tesla. When Elon bought in I thought no way I would ever consider (even if I could afford it) a Tesla. So I was not surprised when he had a falling out with Eberhard.

pingpacks D O T com is available.... 8)

^Depending on where you did the search. Some places immediately requisition any domain name searched for and then charge you extra because they know you want it.

When you create or list a new auction, there's a bunch of extra options that you could setup. I just did one while back to sell my Ezip - and some of these options includes minimum # of feedback, no negative, etc.

I'm trying to order a pack from Mr. Ping but I haven't received a response yet. I noticed the fraudulent bids and decided to not go through ebay. This also happened last week where the 48V20AH pack bid up to $950 when they were going for $750. At $1150 its not quite viable for me unless I can get a larger pack that might last longer due to lower discharge rates.
