problems with first e mtb build

Hi, iv just finished putting together my first build
turnegy sk6374 168kv
hk 150 car esc
8s battery
fs gt2 remote.
iv tried various different programs but whenever i throttle it up it will run at variable throttle up to full throttle for a few seconds then just go into a slow mode either on or off at probably around 25% of full power???
Any ideas guys????

I don't have an certain answer to your question because I´m new into e-board building, I only wan't to alert you that your ESC only supports up to 6s, using 8s will maybe fry your ESC (and maybe that's part of why you have som troubles?).

+1 Yeah, it's only rated to 6s. It may work, but it's probably not going to be reliable on an already low end esc.

Thanks guys, must be going into safe mode of something because too much power. Better get a bigger esc

going to get a new esc from alien
