Dear Judy,

We bought in wheel 48V 5000W hub motor for one EV project. But we didn't want to go with Kelly motor controller because we have one requirement that Kelly Inverter cannot handle this based on our experience. So, we decided to go with Sevcon Gen4 inverter.

Nowadays, we are struggling to find true parameters of that motor. Such as inductance, phase to phase angles etc. Since we find that parameters with manually, we face some issues especially in the starting of vehicle with >%3 grade.

Can we find parameters in somehow?

Thank you in advance.

Could you give me picture of your motor? Especially the serial number that i can see if we can find the record.

By the way, could you tell where did you get our motor?

Thank you,

I'm very excited for the new 9000W 180 135h mid-drive. When will it be available and is there a known price for them yet? Will they have one or more temperature sensors installed from factory?

Sounds interesting. What is the rpm/volt, phase-to-phase resistance, and rated rpm along with the no-load current required at rated rpm? Peak efficiency would be great too.

Yes, we send is 5T 410rpm @48v, if your voltage is 69.8v, the RPM is about 597. Different controller, the data would be little different.

Thanks for all the detail on the 180 motors. The 75H looks perfect for some of my builds, but on some I'd what the higher potential of the 135H. The wide rpm range with over 90% efficiency of the 135 is quite impressive, however, I really need to use a 20-22s battery pack to take best advantage with the batteries I have available. With the wheel size I want to use the motor rpm of the 135H seems too high, requiring a gear reduction of 7:1 or greater. I want to run belt drive to avoid chain noise and need a lower gear reduction. Will these motors be available in different windings? I'd really like the 135H in a winding below 50rpm/volt like the 75H in the test reports instead of the over 80rpm/volt shown for the 135H while retaining the same or better copper fill.

For 180 motors, we will do 90H 9000W first, because it suits most of e-motorcycles, 135H suits more heavy vehicle. For this 90H, we design the shaft for sprocket with chain which will suits different tire size. For belt, it only can suit one special wheel size. But we will consider that if possible.
