Man you guys are so picky. 8)
My old cromotor wheel had about 16kg and i was using a 17" 1.6 rim with 2.50 tire. I dont plan to do dh or stair climbing like Luke, just commute home.
If the wheel proves too weak Vito will be pressured to make a cast one.

Btw this is a brave guy.... QS273 50H using bicycle rim in the front and a very thin 17 wheel in the back and doing over 120kmh.

Who has put a QS 205 on a Vector frame? After I ordered mine I read about the new axle/Vector 205 motor that has the wires coming out a different spot. Mine are smashed so bad I think the brake rotor will eat it in no time.

I think I could grind out a bit of the drop out to make this work but really don't want to.

What say ye fellow 205/Vector owners?

Tom

I have one of the electric enduro frames (i think it's the same swingarm as vector) with a qs 205 v3 I just installed. It was a tight fit but I got it in there without rubbing. I had to bend the swingarm about a 1/4" wider to fit a washer on the cassette side. No washer on disc side just a zip tie around the wiring and axle to prevent the disc from shearing it. No problems with about 100 miles on it so far. I can try to take some pictures later today or tomorrow if you desire.

Yes I'd like to see that. What I have done so far was notch one of the small thin nuts that came with the motor. It's about 3/8" wide and I'm spreading the swing arm ever so slightly to use it. That way I can install a thicker cable tie and I believe I'm in business.

Now I have some safety buffer zone....or so I believe anyway.

Tom

there is a size of white plastic pvc waterpipe(30mm?) available at the hardware store in aus, that slides snug right over the qs axle shaft. i cut a sleeve of that pipe, cut a notch with a half round file, to let the wires out at the right spot. i had to file a mm or so off the inside of the disc, where the bolts are, to let the sleeve slide right into the gap between axle and the sidecover/disc.

this gives me a nice ~3mm clearence between those disc bolts and the phase wires. i also used a 'c' shaped object to give the wires enough space to bend round, like the one above there.

sorry no pics, iv stuffed my sd card by flashing adaptto firmware(as far as my camera is concerned anyway :| )

heres where i got the idea from, and hes got some pics of it-

It's crazy that I have read all these posts and somehow get "writers block" when it comes to actually needing to do something....."You know the great thing about having Alzheimer's? All the new people you meet!"

Thanks again!

Thanks Vito and QS for a great motor. Anyone else questioning whether or not to get this motor - you shouldn't. If you want the best most powerful hub for a bike out there - look no further. This motor is an absolute beast. Full throttle time after time from a dead stop to 40mph+ pulling 14kw peaks and cursing around at 35-40mph for 5-10 miles is no problem for this motor. I've even ridden with a passenger (total weight with bike and passengers around 400lbs) for 10-15 miles at a time without any heat issues (and still riding fast and having fun 10+kw under acceleration and 2-2.5kw continuous at about 35mph).

Currently I'm running a 5t motor (soon to be replaced with a 3.5t as my order was messed up). The rims are 17x1.6. Front is a Hutchinson GP1 moped tire 2.75. Rear is a sava mc50 100/80 (4" tire).

Controller: 36fet 4110
Battery: 20s 20ah (20c Rated) LiPo

I'll get some better video in a few days - I will be racing in St. Louis at the Penrose velodrome on Saturday.

Hello Guys,

Many customer ask us how to connect Sabvoton Controller with CA. Is there any wires?
I am sorry that we couldn't provide satisfying answer.
But now, it's the time for the better solution, we cooperated with Sabvoton to develop new Wire fit with CA.
Here is the drawing for reference.
View attachment Gerneral Wiring For Sabvoton Controller & CA-Powered by SIA.pdf

In following days, the Sabvoton sample, NEW SVMC72150 Controller will be ready. We will try to do some test and take some pictures.
To be continued...

I ll put a big 200w sticker on it. Im sure no body will care about its size and weight if the sticker is there, hehe.

hehehehe

Better yet, a holographic sticker that states 200 Watts. It looks more official. Be sure to add the word and not the acronym, or perhaps use both. Have it titled "200 Watts (W)" and throw in "electric motor" and perhaps some official looking trade marks, like CE and C or whatever electric/electronic official trade marks are on other stuff.
