Bit random this and I am being lazy here so copying and pasting my youtube description here.

On my way to Birmingham I promised my 2 year old I would get some pictures and video from his favourite show the Teletubbies, hard to believe this show is still so popular, anyway the location is only about 15 mins from my house, they finished filming back in 2000 and returned the site to its original setting.

An old buddy of mine made controls for the windmill and had mentioned they were filming it near me but wouldnt divulge the location as at the time they had a nightmare with folks trying to get on to the set and get pictures of the actors (who you can see on this clip) they had terrible problems with the locals getting drunk in the evenings and trying to get on to the site.

I must say I much prefer it now and am glad to see it returned to an almost unspoilt spot, its easy to see why they chose it, the surrounding views are ethereal and the place is silent but for the sound of the birds and the bees.

lmao.. that was awsome..... i cant believe they went as far as they did with that show.. .... my cousin's kids watch it.. i tried to sit thru 5 minutes of this and i had to walk away....... felt like a bad mushroom trip..

kinda surprized they would level it, could have made the farmer some cash as a touristic thing.

Ha ha yes I know I cant watch it but my kids love it!!

I think the original farm owners had already had enough of the attention else I am sure the program makers would have pushed for some kind of park, I much prefer it how it is now, the house was a real house though and all the internal shots of the tubbie house were inside the actual house and not a studio, it was all filmed there on the site with a little bit of composition work post production.

The same company also make the shows in the night garden and Abney and Teal, in the night garden is also filmed nearby.

It was (they tell me) great "chill out" viewing for students, just like the Magic Roundabout back in the day. of course, it helped that our local fundies got highly exercised about Tinkie Winkie and his handbag.
