Hello,

I got this ebike a week ago (Tifgalop® Cletro ES7), since then I've done 115km of mixed riding (hills, asphalt, gravel, forest...)

The rear hub motor started making noise after yesterdays ride (I think). Here's a 1min video with the noise: VID_20250321_114018.mp4

I'd be very thankful for any explanations, this is my first ever ebike so I don't yet know things too well... Also I don't think the motor's Bafang like it says on the site (there's 2 ver. of this ebike I believe)

Just to add some info. It's that "buzzing" sound that happens at about 9km/h. The noise only happens at that point I think. Higher speeds sound fine (and the lower ones).

Hi,
Check Motorshaft Endplay.
If there was a noticable Endplay, you have to add shims at the Brakeside.
Dont overshim, the Cover must sit an the Drum without Gap...dont torque down with the Screws..
If there was no Endplay, you can try to move the Shims from Chainside to Brakeside.
Regards

There doesn't seem to be any endplay to me. I'll wait to see what I hear from support (as the bike is 1 week old & still in warranty) before I try anything more "intense".

Thank you for your reply!

Hi,
As it was new, i would ask for a swap with an complete Rearwheel.
On the other Side, centering the Core correctly takes about ten minutes....
The only challenge is to unscrew the glued in Coverbolts..
..opraviti dobro delo..
Regards

Haha, I'm surprised you were able to notice the adhesive. I used welding glue on the bolts for the rear rack + mud guard. The rack tolerances weren't all that great & I had to really bend it to get it to screw in, the screws ended up popping out after 10mins & that pretty much completely stripped the holes... I'm sure there's more elegant ways of fixing the issue, but I just used what I had on hand, figured I'd sand it down eventually if needed & the bolts were stripped already anyways...
I think I might be able to only remove the rear wheel as the glued bolts only secure the rack and mudguard to the frame.

Since you are not showing speed on your video, it's impossible to pick out where 9km/h is, and what the noise is.

If it only happens at 9km/h then it's probably switching noise from the motor controller that resonates mechanically.

Yes, it seems to happen at right about 9km/h each time.... then at about 17km/h the same noise but way way way quitter happens as well.... and it doesn't seem to happen at any other speed. Unfortunately I don't have any camera gear to be able to also capture the speedometer at the same time... barely managed to zip tie my phone to the bike for the hub motor xD

Thank you for your reply!

Hi,
Spreading will create an angle at the mounting surface...
Correct it before bolt on...a longer Bolt with Nut&Washer ...so far as allowed by Space

..and im not recognize anything..have tought at this six little Motorcover Bolts....
Your Motorcover Bolts are Stock ?

Push the Bike over the Sidekick and use Throttle up to max.
Or use PAS with lifted Rear...

@Comrade ..you may also right..a faulty Hallsensor or Cable defect..Plugs are not seated correctly..

Regards

Yes, unfortunately when I looked after stripping the bolt... the derailleur side doesn't seem to have enough clearance.

The bolts are stock. I used welding glue on the stripped little bolts for the mudguard + rack.

I'll also double check the wires!
