Easy to read, auto start and stop, wired is okay, trip odometer, speed, average speed and total miles. Don't need cadence on the ebike. Reliable and long battery life are good things.

I'm using Strava or Map my walk, but often forget to turn them on, or forget to take the phone.

Also, what do you use and how do you like it?

Thanks

Some of the threads in these lists are relevant; should be easy to tell by title. Hopefully they help.

The cheapest bell or whatever at Walmart will do your needs. I would get the wired kind. motors emf seems to bother the wireless when I tried one. Or it was just too weak to work at all. Batteries last years, they turn on and off automatic.

I used to get the $10 wireless units off ebay, but found that they often drop signal when the batteries are cold or if I mount a LED light that runs off USB, but has an internal switching supply to boost the power. The wired ones are only $7.

Walmart nearby used to carry computers but I haven't seen one at that store for a while.

We ordered a Cateye Enduro wired computer, it's cheap, simple and supposed to be rugged. I've had good luck with Cateye in the past, so that was part of the decision.

Thanks for the help and good riding!

If you get a motor controller with LCD display, you'll have all these things plus state of charge, possibly power output, and possibly battery voltage. Costs a bit more than a cyclocomputer, but it doesn't require a separate power supply.

I recently got a new hub motor system with LCD display for a second e-bike. My old e-bike doesn't have any kind of data display. I'm not tempted to get a cyclocomputer for the old bike, but I might well get a new controller that has a display.
