plug.jpegcontroller.jpegi have a bike project that needs a display. the controller is sabvoton svmc 7260 (m). the display plug from the controller is a male 6 wire flat as pictured. other ive worked on have 5 wire flat female (or julet).
any idea where to get a compatible display with the proper plug? failing that, can i adapt a display with the wrong plug to this? i havent seen a display with a female 6 wire that might work here and cant find any online. the sabvoton website list several displays but all seem to have the waterproof Julet connectors.
thank you

If you purchase a controller and display separately, there’s no guaranty they will be compatible, but the SVMC M series sometimes come with the UKC1 display. It would be best to get it from Sabvoton/mqcon to have a better chance that the firmware is compatible.

How old is this controller? Normally whenever SVMC come with a display plug, whether for APT protocol, or H6, it's a 5 wire JST, bat+, key, bat-, and 2 serial wires. You can convert JST to waterproof but you need to know the protocol of the controller, and still 6 wires are confusing.

The only 6 wire JST plug I remember seeing in the manuals was when they made a cycle analyst compatible plugs, with red, black, blue, grey(or white), yellow, green wires.... But I don't think MQCON is making them anymore. Can you check where the the wires from this plug go, if they have any visible connections to other plugs or anything? Or they just all go to the insides of the controller?

the bikes age is unknown but not new. likely a bomber clone of some sort
green red black yellow go into the controller. blue and white go to the battery ground wire, one each attach on either side of what
appears to be a large in-line fuse block?
i have contacted MQCON but not hopeful of a reply. seems to be only China
can always get a new controller and display i suppose. its a 3000w 72v

Ok, just as I thought, this is a CA-DP plug. Don't bother for trying a conventional display with this, there are no serial wires exposed. See the schematic attached. The "fuse block" is not a fuse but rather a shunt, it measures battery current. So for the display options you can either use Cycle Analyst natively, or rewire it to what MQCON calls a "hall" display, to use the speed wire for these types of displays.

Look for another label on the controller for the shunt value. It should be in mOhms. You will need it for setting up the Cycle Analyst.
