Am looking for higher current alligators that aren't big like jump starter gators, something with more of a flat bite than the few teeth that actually touch the conductor...
Any ideas?
Unfortunately, current is current and mass is mass and small connectors just won't carry large current.
Although, I suppose I should ask just how high a current you are thinking about first?
How much amperage can a bed-of-nails 17awg carry....8 amps?
My first thought is to connect two pieces of 10 awg solid core wire to an existing alligator clip. File the inside contact points flat and use it like a 10 awg clip.
Still won't work as it's hollow, it's like a dog's mouth haha, you will get a bit more area but still super thin.
I think I've seen some rectangular ones somewhere that had those thin close lines as the rigid area and the whole area was touching and not just the sides.
Even in car jumper cables they barely touch with 4 teeth, it's horrible...
