This was a bike for a guy that was brought to me by some mechanics at another shop that got stuck on the install. They're good, but more traditional, so when the Bafang wouldn't slide thru the bottom bracket and the battery wouldn't fit they felt stuck. I wondered if they were confused about how it went when they called, but sure enough it didn't go thru. Close though, close enough that some light drum sander on a dremel action was enough to take out some irregularities in the shell, and it was in.

The battery was a bit of work, the bottle cage mounts were too close to the seat tube, so more had to be added, which was the other thing they didn't want to get into. But some measure three times kind of drilling and two rivnuts and it was in.

It definitely made for a light fast commuter, especially once he upsizes the tires a bit so it doesn't feel so fragile on the bumps. He seemed pretty happy with what was a bike he just had sitting around... so another new ebiker his the streets! Congrats to the guy with the Giant OCR conversion...I was really wishing the guy had wanted to keep the drop bars!
