Hey all, i ended up getting the frame powdercoated pearl white a few days ago. I resprayed the swingarm parts black with a spray can as i didn't want to have to take the bearings out - i'd have destroyed them if i'd tried as their well and truly stuck in there. No drama though as the spray job turned out ok, just won't be as durable.![]()
I'm in the process of putting it back together as i take these pics. I also made a 3mm carbon fibre battery cover just for the wank factor plus to save a little weight. Some blue aluminium bolts and some titanium bolts are on the way to tiz it up a little too
Yesterday i spent most of the day making some carbonfibre motor spacers which no-one will end up seeing, why i do things like that i dunno! Saves more weight over the aluminium ones i was using... (thats my excuse and i'm stickin' with it lol)

On a brighter note and the boys above might be happy to know but i will probably have my own workshop soon. This means framesYes i've had a change of heart, not gunna worry what people say, stuff 'em!
I will be looking around for good 2nd hand frames to convert like this as well as offering one - offs for people who already have frames they'd like converted.
Kona Stinky comes to mind
Production frames are back on the drawing board also, in 2 guises - moto and enduro.
Moto will be similar to this and my Norco, slim frames capable of holding 12s 15ah of Lipo, maybe 20ah if used with a hub motor.
Enduro will have a larger battery capacity, probably around 30ah+.![]()

Gordo said:Perfect! 8) Quit wankin' up and down hills with that other clown and convince him to build something other than motorized jewelry. But then carbon fibre spacers are are a close second to bling. Have you got Kim's welder dialed in for him? Or is he too shaky for it to matter?
I just knew you would do it. You proved me right; "Auzzie's never quit." Except to have another beer and a rest, while they pretendz to think things over.
Beautiful execution on the build. Good luck with your new shop.
Does this mean you finally got your car sold ?Timma2500 said:Anyway, i'm off to eye-off some lathes and mills
