Howdy.

Ive got this crystalyte h-series (rear) hub that i built up onto a standard Sun Rhyno-lite rim. The spokes i used are wheelsmith butted, 2.3mm - 2.0mm. The issue i have is my crystalyte hub flange is drilled for their massive stock 12g spokes, and my new 2.3mm spoke heads pass right through the flange hole. I employed small washers on the spoke heads but one or two of the spoke heads looks like it will eventually pull through as the washers are thoroughly deformed after fully tensioning the wheel..

Before i damage my hub flange or blow a bunch of spokes, is there a suitable spoke supplier that has butted spokes to fit the massive 12g spoke holes on my hub while still tapering to a usable 2.0mm on the threaded end?
Or am i stuck using stock 12g spokes and the stock (non-eyeletted, non-black) crystalyte rim?

ebikes.ca sells sapim spokes, but those are simply 2.3-2.0 butted spokes and will likely have the same issue as my wheelsmith 2.3-2.0 spokes.

Thanks in advance!

When you have the wheel properly built, there is no danger of the heads pulling through the hole. No real pressure is put on the spoke head once the spoke is tensioned.
Basically, the spoke holds onto the hub like a coat hanger hangs onto a coat rack bad. You'll be fine with small spoke heads.
