Has anyone ever tried these?

Saw a bunch of youtube vids... and it looked pretty convincing. Then again, so do infomercials. I got my rims and spokes from electricrider.com. Anyone know if this tubeless conversion will work on this rim?

Thanks,

Link to whatever it is?

If it's one of those foam rubber inner tubes, I hate them with a passion. Yeah, the concept is nice, but the tires are far too soft. I could barely pedal past 16mph with them on my bike. :? I switched to Slime filled tubes. Those are much better.

oops, sorry.

i searched for some reviews,.. and got mixed results. some swear by it, others swear at it.

I have used the system on all my mountain bikes for about 5 years, zero flats, I would never go back to tubes, it is an awesome system. And they are gaining in popularity. Once you figure it out it is great. There is a learning curve and limitations though.

They are only good for up to about 40 psi tire pressures. The main benefit of the system is allowing you to use very low tire pressures to gain traction off road while at the same time reducing rolling resistance and eliminating pinch flats. Self healing punctures is kind of a side benefit.

I want to run higher than 40 PSI in my eBike tires and all the rims I am using are too wide for even the downhill rim strip.

I could still make a homegrown rimstrip by slicing a tube all the way around on the outside like I have seen done. I may still do that. Tubes are terrible and scare the heck out of me. Cars, motorcycles, trucks, and riding lawnmowers are all tubeless, why not bikes?

I was talking about those inner tubes that were basically just a chunk of foam rubber. They're too soft. Also a PITA to get on.

Any reason you can't just put that sealing crap into a regular tube? What's the advantage of a tubeless wheel, anyway? :?
