I have a electric go kart build using the Curtis 1238-7971 controller and the ME1507 motor. it's running a PB-8 pot box for the throttle. I have this issue were there is a delay or lack of throttle command during the higher speed range. For instance, the max speed of the motor rpm is 5400 @62.9mph with my gearing. when I'm up in the 45-62 mph speed range, if I let off the throttle and then reapply the throttle at any position, there is almost a 2-3 delay before I get any reponse from the motor/controller. I have a programmer hooked up and logging data during the ride and there are no errors or any form of cutback (thermal, undervoltage, current, etc) occurring during this "absence of throttle command". All inputs and outputs data points logged show normal operation, except for the lack of current from the controller during this 2-4 delay after pushing down on the throttle.
As an example, I'm accelerating from 45 to top speed and if I let go of the throttle and coast for a second, and then reapply the throttle again, the go kart will continue to coast with no power from the motor for 2-4secs and then all of a sudden will respond to my throttle input.
I tested the pb-8 pot box with a multimeter and verified the resistance is reading properly with no skips or random glitching. It's a smooth cycle throughout the whole range of the potbox. all connections to an from the throttle is secured and continuous.
At lower half to the speed range, this problem is non-existent. I have checked the parameters in the curtis manual and couldn't find anything that would cause this long delay in throttle command at the upper speed range. Any parameters related to throttle reponse has already been set to the quickest reaction time with no "softening" or "Forward mapping" of the throttle input. Delta speed current limiting map parameter was already set to always be at 100%, so there should be no reduction of current from the controller.
