Hello my hub motor on a Nakto Camel won't drive !
The grommet on the bar where the wires exit to go to the handlebars came out and shorted the throttle wires. I replaced the controller with the same one from Nakto and the motor won't rotate. I bought an ebike testing device, the motor phase lights flash when I rotate the wheel in reverse but nothing happens in forward. Is the motor bad?

What did you do to fix the throttle? The tester working with the wheel spinning backwards may indicate that you have a geared hub, which would make that normal.

Yes. Get a source of 5V (USB charge cable is one easy source). Connect the red throttle wire to +5V and the black throttle wire to GND. Then use a voltmeter to measure between the third wire and the ground wire. When you work the throttle, the voltage should fluctuate between less than 1V and more than 4V.

Your Ebike tester should have throttle testing. In the chinglish instruction sheet it's called the steering control. It probably has connections for testing PAS too.

Thanks for all your help. I replaced the throttle sensor and now the throttle works but pas doesn’t. Tried to test the pas sensor the same way as the throttle sensor with 5 volts to the positive, black lead on negative and didn’t get any voltage from the signal wire when I peddled. Did I do that right?

A link to the PAS unit you purchased and a closeup pic of how you installed it would help.

This is still the original pas sensor of my ebike, here are some pictures of my controller and the wiring. The yellow and brown wires go to a on/off switch on the handle bars

Can you post a pic of your old controller's PAS sensor connector (to see the wires)?

The new controller is exactly like the new one, I was able to connect the new controller to the existing plugs didn't have to modify any wires .is there any way to test the pas sensor other than replacing it? I can't show any pictures of the original controller because I tore it apart and cut wires.
