TSDZ2B loud noise

Hi, I'm trying to find the cause for this issue:

I have opened the motor and checked the inner gears, but it looked immaculate.

My wife said the chain is extremely wobbly, so we thought it might be the derailleur, but I'm fairly positive the sound is coming from the motor.

After I made this video, I noticed the paint on the large sprocket was pealing:





Chain and derailleur will be cleaned in the coming days, but I'm not sure if that would cause this noise. The noise is harder when more torque is given and near silent when cruising along.

That noise seem to match with chain wheel movement / rotation, I would clean and lubricate the chain wheel, chain and the derailleur for a start, cheap first option before say taking the mid-drive apart, Not the same but years ago I switched a mid-drive over because it was noisy only to find the drive was OK, ended up being the rear wheel needing me to tighten the all the spokes up.

With a chain that rusty, the noise could be coming from the back wheel. Maybe the pawls in the freewheel are chattering. Maybe the derailleur is moving from side to side and the chain is slipping on the gears a bit,

Flip the bike over, crank the pedals by hand. The motor probably won't get enough pedal torque to start, so you will be listening the the manual part of the drive train. If there are noises, you;ll hear where it comes from,
