hi guys getting error 06. It’s ok for first 2 km then it starts cutting out no pedal assist (no throttle fitted)

Seems better if I keep the cadence up

Turn off and leave for a minute and it’s better

But soon returns

Any ideas ?

Just making sure; can you confirm that you aren’t applying any pressure on the pedals when turning the bike on?

No. I’m doing nothing different for 1200 miles

Running 52v battery
Since it begins to occur after 2km, it could be heat related. Did you already open the cover and reseat connectors. A weak solder joint can also increase resistance when hot, and if that’s in the sensor circuit, the signal could be out of the normal range, same with poor connections. Just a couple of guesses. I’d open it up and wiggle stuff around, reseat the connectors and look for anything obvious.

Oh, so loose connection or cold-solder joint. Those tend to be usual suspects on intermittent type of problems and the error refers to the torque sensor circuit it might be good to look inside, but I presume some won't be able to do this type of troubleshooting, so someone with more electro-mechanical aptitude would be good to know, or the like.

You can get an idea of what it looks like torn down here. I’d check the connector between the toque sensor and controller.
