Finished wiring and fitting the motor this afternoon, slight hiccup with the old Magura throttle
some may recall i repositioned the gear on the pot to eliminate the throttle start up 'dead spot'
when using the
fecther throttle interface, well, this was causing issues, after setting it back to original
it worked how it should AND no dead spot

&
BOY does it work,
Matt you are a GOD!! The interface you supplied
me has improved the throttle 110% its now
PERFECT absolutely brilliant smooth acceleration i am so
rapt, even low throttle is
PERFECT motor ticks over like it has halls!! i can ride slower than walking pace now
its just superb simply couldn't be improved upon Matt you ARE the man.
The wiring ... i frocking hate doing it, no no despise doing it, thankfully though this was all straight forward, sleeved most of the wiring
also added a 'on/off' switch for the power to the HV160, i had allowed for a switch on the enclosure just never got to installing one
I have a missile switch from the ol trike but blowed if i could find the dam thing, shall hunt down a carbon fibre
missile cover and pops it on this switch ASAP-->
Below pic shows the ESC/throttle interface connection pulled out, this is also the lead used
to download the data log from the HV160 hence i have made it easily accessible
The new motor as i touched upon is so much better made, it does draw slightly higher no load speed due to the skirt bearing something like
2amp more than the V1 motor if that, the addition of the skirt bearing though IMHO far outweighs this, the old motor with shit stock
bearings wobbled from new, this V2 is rock solid no play whatsoever, only downside is (and some will likely laugh)
the frocking thing doesn't whine at full speed like the old one did, bit bummed about this so i will try and find
a small bladed fan to attach to the outside so it makes some turbine sound, heres a lil clip of it turning
at full speed, its noticeably quieter as i am sure you bionic hearing equipped gents will notice ;-P

I downloaded the data logging from the hv160 pleasantly surprised to see a max of 2.9v ripple I have set the
esc to the mildest settings possible 160amp she peaked around 6000watt on short ride out front of my house
still pulls like a train from stop to WOT, i will leave it like this now, i want this to be reliable for daily use, the new bike
will take over the role of being out of commission for long spells LOL...
Matt.P and myself are possibly off on a ride day tomorrow or Friday, expect ALOT of video footage i have two 808
spy cameras Matt also has one plus i have my cannon...back with more then...
