Hello,

I have a flispky 75100

Regen braking is very good I can drive my cycle without touching brakes

When current is positive battery current follows motor current

But during regen braking when current is negative battery current for a brief time folows the motor current and then goes to 0. So where does the current go?

Couple of different max current values I have sent from different liga

I'm not familiar with this software but i'm familiar with VESCs and this controller is kind of a ripoff of it so..

From a seat of the pants feel, does the regen start and then cut off after a short period of time?

Negative current would go back into the battery ( if regeneration is happening )

So where does the current go?
The VESC short-circuits the phases for full break, if the speed or the duty cycle drops below a specified threshold. The current is just circulating in the motor then and is not pushing back energy to the battery.

Hey @stancecoke

Thanks for answering

Where can I find the specified threshold? And what would be way that I could increase the regen current, I would rather that I can recuperate all the energy back to the battery when braking

Hello, sorry I didnt see you message before

This is vesc tool Log Analysis

Mybe I can feel while riding little the shift from battery regen and then switch to motor regen or mybe its just me halucinating

I just want to increase the regen current going into battery

Right now my battery max regen current is set at -40A, is this too low? Should it be positive value in the vesc tool?

And when I think about it more mybe my battery is stopping charge after it senses too high charge current

My bms is common port, when I think how common port works by having a bidirectional switch with two mosfets placed in antiseries it would be possible to stop charge current flow but still alow discharge current

Mybe I try regen braking with unprotected battery just no load testing at low battery soc
