Hi everyone, I’m having a specific issue with my Votol EM-200/2 controller and I need some expert advice.

The Situation:

I can connect to the controller and the software allows me to 'Write' settings without any errors. However, the Software and Hardware version numbers in the top bar remain completely blank. Because of this, the Self-Learn function will not trigger at all, no matter what I try.

The Problem:

I need to calibrate the Hall Shift Angle, but without Self-Learn, it's impossible to get it perfect. It seems like the controller is in some kind of 'restricted' or 'locked' mode where it accepts basic parameters but blocks system-level commands like learning.

My Questions:

1. Has anyone dealt with this 'blank version' issue? Is it a firmware lock or a software compatibility problem?

2. If I flash a new/different firmware, will it fix the Self-Learn issue and finally show the version numbers?

3. Does anyone have a confirmed firmware file for the EM-200/2 that is fully unlocked?

4. Is there any risk of bricking the unit by flashing generic firmware when the current version is unknown?

I've already checked my cables and baud rates. Everything seems fine except for those missing versions and the dead Self-Learn button. Any help would be much appreciated

Have you tried enabling self-learn via cable input? You can assign it to one of the pins/connectors.
