What controller for me?

I am looking for a controller for my mid drive ebike. I use both 36 and 48 volt batteries alternately. I would like a connector that will plug into my cycle anylst computer. I am only looking for maybe 1500 watts power. I would like the controller to be sine wave, sensor and sensorless compatible and water proof.
I have gone through 4 grinfineon controllers. Water ingress may be an issue. Here in Hawaii, sometimes it monsoons while riding.
I do not enjoy programming anything, so plug and play is preferred. I tried a phaserunner, and could not get it to run right.
The bike would accurate on is own.
My bike is an old big dummy with a stoke monkey kit with a direct drive motor. I love it. It climbs steep hills with 3 kids on it when it worked in the past. I just replaced a hall sensor, and motor checks out fine.
What brand would you recommend for a waterproof, reliable, cycle analyst compatible without monkeying around controller? Thanks, johnny
 
I would think the Phaserunner is a perfect match. What is wrong with it, have you contacted Grin to troubleshoot?
 
I could not figure out how to program it. There always was an uncontrollable gradual speed up and poor throttle response.
Wondering about Kelly controllers or sabvoton controllers. After getting 5 controllers from grintec,. I want to try somewhere else, ideally plug and play, no computer involved.

Grin continues to tell me that my stoke monkey kit is old and recommend me going with a hub motor and phase runner controller.
I prefer the mid drive set up.

What does plug and play mean? A controller that uses the same connectors and motor harness as the Grin controllers you tried previously?
 
For me plug and play means, ideally that I do no have to hook he controller up o a computer to program it for it to work with my motor. I plug it in and it works. I am comfortable with soldering on different connectors if I have too. But the programming makes me pull my hair out.

Since you're keeping the CA, I'm assuming you're OK with changing settings to set it up? If so, it sounds like any controller that can output around 35A would be sufficient for 1500W (assuming based on what you said, you're comfortable with soldering together a CA plug/harness for your controller; all conductors to do so can be accessed from the controller externally). So, waterproof 35A controller with a throttle input.

I am also wondering if you may know where I can buy the pairing connectors for the Chinese controllers, so I am able to plug and un plug the controller, versus have to solder all wire sriaght onto each other?

Nope. I just searched on a controller with the specs you stated, and an IP65 rating. For $40, you could get a backup too. You can get the throttle and CA connectors with leads from Amazon. Not sure what your motor connector looks like, but those are easy to find as well. You’ll need an external shunt, which is also a cheap Amazon item.
I use the CA and a dumb controller for my setup and really like it, and have a backup controller that I can just plug in if I ever have a failure. The CA is the brain, the controller is just the brawn.
