I've only shipped stuff from China or Costa Rica, so no experience US to Australia. What's the best way? It's not something fragile, so is International Priority Mail the way to go? It's a moped/scooter brake caliper and brake disc, so under 2kg.

I always use FedEx or DHL when buying stuff from the US. Usually get my goods in 1-2 weeks tops. The handful of times I've used USPS, even international priority, it's take 6-8 weeks.

I ship quite a bit to Australia. My customers tell me that it takes about 2 weeks no matter if Priority or 1st class international airmail package is used. I can't remember anyone telling me it took more than 3 weeks. You can look up what it would cost using USPS.com

It sounds like what you are shipping might fit in a Priority Mail tyvac flat rate padded envelope. I'd box it first before putting it in the envelope.

Agreed, I have packages sent on a regular basis and found USPS to be the cheapest way to ship small packages. I have them sent using a USPS "Priority Flat Rate Box" and usually arrive by the 10th to 12th day, never more than 2 weeks.
