Hi guys. I need a good kickstand for my Vector based ebike, which is like 40kg and bends any kickstand i have already tried. What model are you using that can handle this fatty for long without problems?

If it's got a standard mount behind the BB then a dual kickstand will work great.

Crow Cycles

Steel with threaded aluminum rod. I have 4 on bikes and have had one for to years.

Most of the others are suited for lighter bikes and the all alloy suck and many have fit problems, especially with derailleurs.

Two sizes. http://crowcycleco.com/double-leg-kickstand-screw-adjust-black-steel-lowers

The double leg stand is very good, but sensitive to where you park. It can't be a sloping ground, to the side. For street use, this can be ok. You just learn where to park at the store, work, etc.

For many of my bikes, I just put one stand at the center, and then add another on the rear stay. This can work pretty good, in all kinds of ground.

I am using this one: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00FIKIK7C/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I installed it as close to the pedals as it would fit, and it works great. It is length adjustible but as some reviewers noted.. sometimes the screw is a tiny bit too long, and that keeps it from locking in place. I just tapped it on the belt sander and it worked perfect for me, but a quick hit with the file or sandpaper, or just adding a washer works just as well.
Its cast aluminum, and I was really surprised by how nice it is. I paid $12.70 so its a fair deal too.

just be aware that like all ebikes on rear mounted sidestands, if you have your batteries mounted up high and forward, it might be tippy with it installed too far back. keep it as close to the pedals as you can.

Heavy 60 lb ebike. That last one would turn on my frame, and started to dent the metal tube when I torqued it. I added a brace. It worked for a dew weeks, Then it broke in half right at the red mark.

I suppose the lesson is.. if it has enough stress to rotate on the frame, dont brace it, its too much stress for the cast aluminum stand.
I have mine mounted much further forward, but I'll keep an eye on it. Maybe pull the decal off so its easier to inspect.

Well, since I don't have a Vector,, a picture of exactly what your problem is would help a lot.

If the bike is steel,, there are guys with welders. If it's aluminum, then design a stand, and again,, call on the guys who weld to make your custom bolt on.

If the center stands shown will bolt on your vector,, then just buy one. they are great, only taking a bit of time to figure out which way to point the bike at various parking spots you use. So the bike does not lean, and tend to fall over parked on a side slope.

Later on,,, Ok I googled vector, and it looks like you need to have a custom stand made, that can bolt on. A good welder can modify a steel, side kick stand to do this in less than an hour. You just need the same sort of clamp to the chainstay,, but a different shape.

Weld a flat bar to a kickstand, then attach with several hose clamps will do er.

One does have to wonder why anyone would build/design such an expensive piece of equipment without suitable provisions for parking the the machine. Do they expect their customers to just toss them down on their side wherever they end up?

I have checked in Artur's post and he is offering a kickstand at 50$... I am gonna try it, I will report back when I have tested that solution.

That's just about what I was suggesting. A custom mount for that type swingarm.

FWIW,, when was the last time you saw a kickstand on a motocross motorcycle? The use is you return to the pit, where you have a rear wheel stand, or a box that lifts both wheels off the ground.

At home, I have a couple rear wheel stands for some of my dirt e bikes, which have no kick stand. So for at home, build a stand to hold it up by the rear wheel.
But if you ride this on the street around town, you will want a stand on the bike.

Yeah, in a pure "sport" bike, the kickstand is not a good option, but I use the bike nearly for everything. Even when I ride off-road, I prefer a kickstand, because a bike that heavy is hard to pull from the ground. At home and at work I got a place to put the bike on, but big tyres doesn't fit on those parkings, so I have to use kickstand.

Hope Artur answers soon so I can test this solution.

Its much better than my old method of "find a wall":

Well, two of those pictures are enduros. I guess I'm out of date, I thought a race bike was stripped of every gram of weight that does not help it win. If the bike is just for recreational dirt riding, a stand would be ok.

There should be a mount bracket on that E bike for a stand. so the stand could be an option. Hopefully they correct that in the next production run of swing arms.

Those are my CR500s... with little Farkles of "lights" added so the "police" dont "arrest" me with their "laws". Its still a straight up motorcross/supermoto bike.
And no, they are not stripped of every gram of weight to win. They're overbuilt a bit to last massive abuse.
Its only the new 4stroke era where you have the oh-my-god-how-do-we-get-this-pigs-weight-down-to-something-reasonable mentality of making a motorcross bike as light as possible.

You have to cut it to length, but that's not difficult.

I've had the inverted U style, found this to fold up much nicer, and like that I got to set the height.

Really,, my point was if you ride it on the street,, you sure as hell do need a stand.

And you don't really need a stand on the bike if you don't ride street. You just need a rear tire holding stand handy where the ride starts and finishes.

And yes,, I'm out of date. I thought stands had disappeared from dirt bikes.

Won't clear the chainline on many bikes and will break. 7D bikes often need a longer upper body like the Crow Cycles Xtra Tall.

I have the Vector one on mine and it's pretty much great. No way to make it drop while riding hard and keeps the bike standing up.

I'd recommend it to anyone using a vector frame.

I use a 3G adjustable kickstand they're super beefy and adjustable to a decent length. It won't bend and has a large footprint for sand or gravel. Nice and light as well
