I don't have a garage for my new e-moto build. I'm removing my 50 kilo Lifepo4 battery off my bike and storing it inside for the winter. I was going to leave the controller and QS motor outside all winter. Covered from water and weather, but not from the cold. I was thinking it would be fine. Thoughts?

Where do you live ?
What are your winters like ?
Waterproof covers can cause condensation if kept on for long.
Do you have space for one of those small 8x4 self assembly garden storage sheds ?
Best not to have ANY battery that size inside a living area.

Midwest US. Probably -15C at the coldest end, dry winters.

The battery won't be in a living area, just indoors. Im just asking about the various electronics left out in the cold. The controller is fully potted. Good note on the covers causing condensation as it warms up though, thank you. Perhaps bring the motor inside as well?

Eh, I thought about it, and I ended up just taking everything off to store indoors for the winter. Probably it would be fine if it got really cold, but it's really not worth the cost to replace if something does go wrong. Better safe than sorry
