Hello, I am building up an electric bike with dual hub motors and I was wondering if it was possible to combine the controller on the left with the one on the right, meaning I want to use the right controller as the only throttle control:

Please let me know if it is possible and how I would wire them. I would really appreciate any guidance.

I did this several times but I was using brushed motors and controllers. For what I know there should be no difference though if you are running brushless motors/controller. Run the throttle wires normally for one controller. Except for the 5v+ wire splice the from the second controller into the with the first controller. That's what i did and it worked fine. Keep in mind this in no was balances the 2 motors or controllers. What I found is one motor always worked harder then the other. And others I've spoken to have said the same thing. I have also tried using a single controller big enough to carry both motors and had the same results.

I think I know what you mean..but since you seem to be suing confused terminology I may have mis understood your question

What you are referring to are throttles, the picture show two throttles. The controller is the big silver box.

I think what you are wanting to do is run two controllers, each connected to its own motor from one throttle.

You only show a picture of one controller, but you do have two I assume.

So if you are asking about running two controllers and two motors with one throttle, then yes, this is possible. but I do not knwo how to wire it.

BUT I have seen a circuit to do it on this forum. so either wait for someone else to come along and tell you how it is done, or keep searching the forum looking for threads about 2 wheel drive bikes (2WD)

Msioni I merged your topics as we prefer not to have multiple postings on the board for the same topic. Good luck with your solution!
