Fastest cooler ever? Hehe, not yet. I'm modding it to go 23mph from the current top speed of 13mph. That's the rating for the kit. We'll see what real world experiences are like once I get this thing put together. For now, it's just a looker.

KMX! Sweet! My absolute favorite. That's one clean looking setup. I'm at work now, but i'm hunting you down (on the forums) and checking out your threads when I get home. Very curious. Looks great!

Here is my before and after. Started with an old 90's mountain bike frame and went from there. Its a 48v li-ion set up rated and tested 40+ amp/hrs. Using a magic pie vector motor along with a custom frame bag made by Jeremy from Cleveland Mountaineering.( http://cleavelandmountaineering.blogspot.com/)
The li-ion cells were all assembled from used laptop batteries. Each cell was test for capacity and internal resistance and then separated accordingly.
Might do a build thread if anyone shows interest...if not enjoy this was a great project and a ton of fun to ride with a crazy long range.

Rescued this non-operational 24-speed full suspension bike off Craigslist a few weeks ago.
It is currently a work in progress... Already pulled everything "ebike" off my old hardtail GT Tequesta (in a previous post) and donated the bike.
I'm fully committed to the project now!

My wife has become a great fan of electric bikes! I converted her hybrid bicycle earlier this year and she loves it! She wanted a more "stealth" installation. The only thing obvious is the controller sitting in front (for cooling) of the rack bag for batteries and of course, the hub motor.

My next generation ebike is now functional! Just took it out for it's maiden cruise.
Still kept all 24-speeds and added a torque arm.
Repurposed this off my 1st bike.
To create this
I'm calling this version 1.0 because I'm not completely satisfied with the configuration and want to build a custom battery box over the frame.
Any input on good build threads etc is appreciated!

Not exactly a before-and-after, but I've cleaned up the look of the SB Cruiser trike by moving the controllers from their ziptied spot hanging out under the seat with wires hanging all over the place to secured properly down under the flatbed planks, with neatened up wiring.

Probably got more air cooling in the messy underseat setup, but less shade from sun.
More shade under flatbed, but also much closer to really hot road surfaces, and less airflow behind axle like that.
We'll see how they do; been riding it to work the last couple weeks or more, will do so rest of this week too to test it.
So far I have at least 319 miles on the trike just in work commutes and grocery store trips. I think there is another 20-30 miles in short test rides, but not sure exactly on those. Can't remember how far we went when I rode around with Evoforce back when it was front-motored, but at least a few miles. So, let's just round it and call it 350 miles on the trike so far, not counting anything from the first build-test-break-fix-test-break-fix rides.

Hello ES forum members, I am very curious to learn about everyone elses' eBike setup, motor, battery and controller info. I have tried searching for such a thread, but the search hasn't yielded any such results. I hope this thread helps newbies like me to learn more about ebikes and help make decisions.

Anyways, to start off with, let me post some pictures of my ebike. I have recently purchased a 24volt leed eBike kit, and i absolutely love it. My sole purpose for converting to an eBike is to assist me with hill climbs and running occasional errands without sweating and such. I thought it would be easier to start off with the Leed Ebike kit, which comes with a compact 8Fun geared hub. It sure wasn't a 5 minute install because I chose the rear tire setup (my front dropouts was slightly narrower than what was required), and I didn't want to muck around with my primary aluminum frame bike, so I chose to convert a folding bike which is made of steel. Also, I found the 24 volt to be a nice option because the battery packs are simple to build, and I can always hook up two 24 volt battery pack in parallel, if I ever decide for a 48 volt motor kit to spice things up. My eBike also turned out to surprisingly stealthy, which i find to be a nice feature of any eBikes.
Anyways, I would love to see your setup. I am attaching some pictures of my ebike, and I would love to see your setup. And please do mention where you purchased your kit, and the reason decision to go with your specific setup.

Looks clean.
If I open the image in a new screen I can see it completely. You could resize the picture to a smaller format.
But 2kW (58V hot of the charger x 35A) on an aluminium front suspension fork and no torque arm to be seen? Hope you have good health insurance...

As I understand it the dropouts on an aluminium front suspension fork can start cracking and finally break with a front motor with serious power. The peaks when accelerating will be up to 54Vx30A=1.6kW. That's 2 "horsepower"...
Metal fatigue would be a concern I think. So be safe and keep an eye on your dropouts.
