a berry merry christmas too.
2012 may finally be the year of the EV too if Iran actually does block the strits of hormuz like they are pretending to do right now.
oil just got back over $100 after the scare of looking at the end of the eurozone and now it is poised for the big move up when we finally follow through with plans to totally embargo any oil shipments out of iran and provoke another gulf crisis.
i think the odds are about 60/40 we will see $140 by the summer if this buildup continues and is aggravated by a civil war breaking out in iraq between the sunnis and shia. that would be a proxy war between saudi and iran, and saudi is already maxed out on production.
the chinese are continuing to fill their strategic petroleum reserves, they are starting on the second facility now, 168 millon barrels. not chump change at $100/bbl.
the chinese are already implementing strategies to create charging spots in the thousands to support EVs so it is now a matter of time before they become available here by the container load.
kia is also gonna introduce an EV subcompact too and the koreans also are beginning to implement a charging spot buildout for the major cities too.
so the new year could even better than we hoped for, and ebikes may finally get their due respect here. so here's hoping for a GREAT NEW YEAR.
but first i gotta go look at gas buddy, ehe.
