Hi,
I have a Himo Z20 electric bike, the electric motor only kicks in when the pedals are turning, pedal assist. It has a throttle on the handlebars on the right side just like a motorbike but it doesn't do anything. Does anyone know how to make this feature active ?

DId the throttle ever work?

If not, what happened before it stopped working?

The YouTube videos say Eco mode is PAS and medium and high are throttle.

Hi, did you find out the solution of adding throttle in Himo Z20 please ?
I just bought 2nd hand bike and it has same issue without throttle and only fix handle grip.

If yours doesn't have a throttle on it, it's not the same issue. This thread was about a bike whose throttle wasn't working or the operator didn't read the manual to find out how to switch modes to one that uses it.

If you need to add a throttle to a prebuilt bike that didn't come with one, it's fairly likely that you'd have to replace the controller / display set with one that has that function available. Many prebuilt bikes without throttles have the option removed from the controller software/hardware to comply with local laws for where they are sold or shipped.

If yours has a throttle connector you could plug one in and try it, after verifying the wiring is the same between them (if not you can damage both controller and throttle).

If it does not have a connector, it probably doesn't have the capability.

you are right and I notice that additional wire comes out just under the brake wire and seems connected to the throttle but as there is a fixed grip so I might replace is with moving throttle that might work..

Sorry what I thought that was throttle connector, actually that is Brake sensor wire :-( . (see attached)

I think now I have to change the Controller with throttle connector then I able to make it work ?
If any one tried this before please guide me kindly...

Many thanks
