The controller I just purchased (my 4th) is a Chinese 500W with (8) wiring connections and none are marked "Hall sensors". How do I connect the (5) Hall wires from the scooter to the controller? The wires on controller are:

Light
Brake lever
Throttle
Power Lock
Brake light
Motor
Battery
Charging Port

All thoughts/advice are welcome!

Wow, Dui! Very impressive work on your scooter. I (and many others) appreciate the detailed outline of your re-build...thanks. DOES ANYONE have input on what to do with my (5) Hall sensor wires running from the dashboard, as my Yiyun 31C 36V 500W controller only has a total of (8) connectors??? Do I leave them unconnected?? PLEASE HELP!

Thank you in advance:)

You bought the incorrect controller. Your motor is brushed (no hall), so you will need a brushed controller.

I made sure that the controller I purchased was "brushed" (not brushless) to work with the brushed motor. At least I think the motor is brushed....it only has 2 wires (red, black).....is that correct???
Just an FYI - many different Chinese controllers are labeled 31C - I have seen 36V, 24V, 350W, 500W brushed and brushless controllers all labeled 31C. Don't know why....any ideas???

Thanks for the info -

Since you don’t have hall sensors, can you post a pic of the wires from the “dashboard” (do you mean display?) as requested earlier? Why do you refer to them as hall sensor wires?
