Need some ideas so i wont burn my hub

I honestly can’t tell that way. The only reference I have is from the caliper, where I need to true my rim.

No? you can't rotate the wheel?
If you have a geared motor the difference in resistance in each direction will be big.
If you have a DD, the resistance will be about the same both ways.

If it's geared, then if you spin if forwards, it should just spin almost like a normal bicycle wheel, coasting with very little drag. If it stops spinning quickly, then it's direct drive, since it will have a fair amount of drag. If you try to spin a geared motor backwards, the clutch engages and there's a lot of drag due to the gear reduction.
 
Could be direct drive, but you'll need to open it to make sure.

If it turns out to be a direct drive (no gears or clutch inside), then you could leave it apart and order statorade to apply before reassembling it. Also, if it's direct drive, be careful when putting it back together because you could easily lose part of a finger or two.

There's a lot of ways to apply statorade, but applying it directly to the magnets is by far the most satisfying. It's really cool how the magnets pull it from the syringe.

I was right—it was DD. My girl fell asleep early, so I had a spare few minutes. And okay, I’ll do that before I put it back together. I’m going to do the wires while I have it apart anyway.

Had me second-guessing myself, but I’ve seen the Statorade somewhere else. I’ll do that too to help. Thanks. I’ll post when the bike is fully done—after the microcontroller and everything else are finished. I’ll put a link to a video of it working. I’ll probably have it built and in the test phase in about a week and a half, maybe two weeks, just in case I run into something while catching up on my batteries.
