1000w 48v Trek 3900 Build

Hey guys just starting a build thread of my first ebike. Heres the spec's;
~Trek 3900 v Brakes soon to be disk (bike has mounts for it)
~Yescomusa 1000w 48v motor
~4 6s turnigy 22.2v lipos 12s2p
~Stock controller (more than likely upgrade to 72v)
~hyperion1420i charger
~24v 600w power supply

Finally got around to test fitting, took a little tweaking but looking good,

Yes lol good eye! 1972 cutlass/442 455bbo th400 posi that's one of the other hobbys when 40-50 on a ebike won't cut it lol

Rear gear set turned out to be junk, barings kept binding up so after a little work have a nice new shimano spins way better than the original when it was freewheeling.

Got the derailer tuned to run on 5 out of the 6 gears off the original 8 gear trek shifter and the derailer set to stay with in thoes gears. Unless I put a spacer in behind the cassette I won't be able to use the last gear the derailer rubs. Even if spaced out the smallest gear would hit the frame so I'm fine with just 5 gears. Now just waiting on the batteries really. Received the charger a couple days ago;

Been really busy but here's a update,
Thick plate steel TA:

Added dual headlights 5w Cree led bright, low and strobe so I can have high or low beams. Led turn signals and brake light and running light also a horn which I don't really plan to use. Also added some fenders top peak for the back and zafal swan for the front. The bike is for the most part finished but there will be many tweeks to come, upgrade the controller and wiring, disk brakes and some other odds and ends. Here's the end result:

I got the 500W 48v yescom kit and yes rear gear seems a bit dodgy, interesting you changed it with shimano, didn't think about that possibility of changing it. How much was it and where did you get it?

My bike is similar to yours, only front suspension. Can't make out from photos if you have front suspension?

Warning-----those stock controllers are NOT waterproof and I learned the hard way, went and left the bike,locked on a tree and it rained quite heavily. Decided to pedal home without power,figuring if water got in maybe it would dry out by next morning, didn't work.

It has gas adjustable front forks, thanks for the tip on the controller it's currently in the frame bag but I am eventually moving it out side the bag.

I got it at my local bike shop it was 15 bucks, the guy even gave me the park tool to get it on or off(he slightly stripped it and was waiting to start using his new one) so that was really cool of him I had to drill out the center a lot to fit the shaft and with out a chain whip I just used large channel locks. Wasn't to bad when I had all the tools to get it off. Spins 1000x better with the new shimano.

Nice man! Love those year fox body's, I'm a big fan of v8's any muscle builds no foreign bs lol. No replacement for displacement! My olds is a work in progress but has 455 rocket, intake, cam, double pumper etc I've only ran 1/8th best time 9 flat spinning all the way down ha ha, currently I'm around 450-500hp but its pretty much going to be a pro street setup shooting for 9.5-10 in the 1/4.
