Adobe are giving away all of the CS2 design software to avoid maintaining the activation server.. Anyway, if you need a legit version of Photoshop, Acrobat 3D etc.

I had no problem installing Photoshop CS2 on Win7.

The site seems to be down...

Turns out it's NOT true. You CAN'T download CS2 and register it from Adobe for free unless you're re-registering a previously purchased copy!

You can, because I did, but it seems this wasn't Adobe's intention LOL It will be interesting to see how they respond. Anyway, I have a valid license for CS1....

Sorry for perpetuating this "misunderstanding".

I don't know what to think now. Here is all the software with serial numbers...

Maybe just a coincidence, but I was attacked while looking at that site. Adobe is just giving away software for no logical reason. Hmmmmm. I seem to have my computer working again, some 6 hours later.

I downloaded it all and it worked. I couldn't figure out to use the three disk cs2 kit but downloaded the individual packages and installed what I needed.

That is awesome news mY daughter is an artistic person and I bought her a graphics tablet for her birthday . It has PS elements in it but this might be better I needed a version for the macbook. Thanks so much for that her birthday is next weekend, great timing. :D

I doubt if CS2 will run on macbook? That's down to Apple, though.......
I have CS5 on my iMac but if CS2 is no good the Wacom graphics pad has some version of PS elements in it. I'll have to see which is better.

I have a valid license for Photoshop CS, the only thing I needed the CS2 version for was cursor-centric zooming on the mouse wheel. Couldn't believe how long Adobe kept the zoom function working from upper left...

Meh. I downloaded the package, but haven't installed it.

I do all my image/gfx work with Gimp and Inkscape, but figured maybe sometime I might need to open an Adobe file that the freeware has trouble with.

Is Acrobat 3D any use if I already have Alibre PE?

You have control over the quality (tesselation) of models but there are bugs relating to colours in Acrobat, which never got fixed.

Another route to 3D PDF is the free version of Solid Edge.

Thanks, Miles. I'm still on XP, so Solid Edge will have to wait.

What I'd like to do, is have a 3D PDF open with an assembly mostly hidden, so a person can "build" the assembly, using the model tree (which I would like to have showing when the PDF opens). If Adobe can edit an Alibre generated PDF to do that, I may install that module.

I think that should be possible.
