Getting some worrying feedback from my CycleAnalyst (direct plug-in type) and was hoping someone could provide some advice...
Setup consists of 72v Headway lifepo4 pack, Golden Motor 1kw hub (not the pie) and what I think to be a Lyen 4110 controller (Hyena to confirm  )
The only settings I have put into the CycleAnalyst are...
Now the controller has been programmed to max at 40amps BUT the cycle analyst is showing a peak of 161amps on take off. As acelleration continues, the amps taper off to about 99amps due to the Max Amps being set at 99 and limiting is starting to occur. You can feel the bike bounce off the limit even though it still winds up it just feels like top end grunt is severely limited.
With the CycleAnalyst disconnected the bike is much faster and there is no limiting feeling as felt before.
Now, I suspect the CA is reading the amperage incorrectly but I dont know why - all ADVANCED settings are default. Can anyone with experience with setting up Cycle Analysts on similar gear please give me some hints as to WTF is going on?
I have a feeling the resistance value for the current sensing shunt OR the poles setting may be causing this but I have no idea of the resistance value and even less about the number of hall effect transitions per rotation of the wheel!!!!
