Could you find or get an address for Trendtimes? I couldn't locate one on their website...

Just got a call from trend times and they ended up not having them, they credited my CC so all is well, just have to start looking again.

I just received in 2 in the mail from http://www.bladezscooters.com/

Thanks Auraslip, it's the only throttle I use and I absolutely would not want to ride with a conventional throttle. I've put a combined 5,000 miles on the two units I have with one now as a spare. I guess they are hard to come by now so I'm glad I have another just in case.

The updated retailer in your first post still seems to have them for 13.99.

Or does that one not work?

It's the right model so it should work after modifying it the way I describe on page 1. I do wish someone would introduce a trigger throttle for E-bike use, I think many people would like them.

Someone with the know how could make a pretty penny modifying avid and shimano brake levers to work as throttles and ebrakes.

sounds like fun! i want to make a custom throttle. anyone know where to get a hall sensor and magnet to play around with??

I looked on mouser and they have almost 900 different hall sensors. I'm surprised anyone can order stuff from there. I personally need help ordering anything more complicated than a light bulb :D

edit: found this thread http://endless-sphere.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=6642 which points to this part http://search.digikey.com/us/en/products/A1302KUA-T/620-1022-ND/1006597

 now I just need to find a small magnet. hmmmmmm

edit: these look good any thoughts? http://applied-magnets.amazonwebstore.com/Applied-Magnets-100-Rare-Earth-Neodymium/M/B0012AUU84.htm

Magnets are easy. You almost certainly have some laying around already. Got any old hall throttles or hall ebrake levers? At least one in each of those. Got any old namebadges with magnetic clips? Usually three on each of those. Got any old cheap disc brake calipers? Probably at least two on those, holding the brake shoes in. Got an old cycle computer? Magnet on the wheel sensor. Computer case fans? A whole strip of magnetic material inside the round core of the fan itself. Old earbud headphones? Ring magnet in those, probably. Same for old small devices with tiny speakers, like celphones, or even regular phones sometimes.

Hall sensors...many of the computer case fans have hall sensors in those, of hte type useful for ebrake switches. Old throttles will have the hall type you need for yoru custom throttle. Something else might, too, but I can't remember right now.

Its been a while since this thread was activr. I was wondering if anyone has heard of a decent lever throttle with built in hall sensor turning up ?
