Anyone tried EM3EV new bottle mount batteries?

Between now and my last post, I actually opened it up and saw that the wire loom just moves around freely. I just put a bit of tape around it and put it back together. No more clackity rattle. :)

Well done! I imagine it could have worn the wire covering over time!

Anyone knows what the "discharge socket" is called? What model is it?

I have this kind of battery but from BMSBattery on one bike and would like to use it on another too. The best option would be too buy the whole mounting unit including the socket/power contact. BMSB sells this for only 9 usd, but have so high shipping and they seems to be the only one selling them:

But if I can't get the mounting unit maybe I atleast can find the connector and then I mount it in some other way. The usage might end up to only be temporary and thats why I don't want to spend a lot of money for just a socket/connector.

I have experienced issues with at least some packs of that sort with the key switch relay inside - they burn out - requiring rewiring it directly, inactivating the key switch. It's worth inquiring about the quality of the key-switch relay.

The key is only to lock the battery onto the slider. The power switch is a push-button.

^ correct.

They can be purchased from other vendors as well, green bike kit etc. the difference is usually in the freight rather than the unit price. elifebike might be worth a look too, but be sure to use paypal....

The specifications give that info.

"52PCS 18650 Cylinder cells, capacity 36V10Ah-17Ah or 48V8AH-13.6AH"

http://www.ksreention.com/product/detail/41 another flaky Chinese manufacturer sight!

Or count, 50 in this photo, spec claims 52 will fit.

I have a pack like this which I reckon could hold 60 cells.......... First remove the retractable handle on top and who uses it anyway ?

Second would be to redesign the BMS to sit low at the back above the top layer of cells and have to mention the vacant space above left of the on/off switch......... Just thinking out loud at the minute

Depends how you plan to use it. If you plan to charge on the bike, I understand, but the moment you are charging off the bike, the handle is useful and worth keeping. Its surprising how awkward these become without it.

I dont have EM3EVs battery but the one BMSBattery has/had before, so maybe not the same. But how does it usually work, does it balance the cells when charger is attached? When fully charged or what? Or no balance at all? At least it has a LVC so something is in there...

Edit: It seems to have balance with BMS, se link below:
